Germany opposes Chat Control

Today is a great day for privacy! Germany will oppose the Chat Control legislation. This will prevent it from gaining a majority in the EU council, at least for now.

Chat Control is proposed legislation that would effectively enable widespread monitoring of private conversations under the guise of preventing child sexual abuse. Anyone clever enough will understand that this is just an excuse; pedophiles are known to authorities and are listed in lists & files that everyone knows about but nobody releases to the public. They want mass surveillance and the abolition of any notion of privacy!

Chat Control should NOT pass and we must collectively work towards that goal!
